Stayed
at Shima Onsen (Hot Springs) in Gunma Prefecture for 2 nights. Shima Onsen is
one of the three historic hot springs in Gunma, along with Kusatsu and Ikaho
Onsen. The name of Shima(四万)is said to derive from the
belief that the hot spring is effective for “Shima” (forty thousand in Japanese)
types of illnesses. Enjoyed open-air and cypress baths. Breathe easier, live
easier, and do not be weighed down by unnecessary burdens!
